The basic idea behind MISSA MERCURIA:
Missa means whole = holy Message
Mercuria is the name of the god’s messenger who has to deliver this message to manhood.
The scenery is the following:
The Gods, representatives of the 4 elements are celebrating (having) a party in their molecule within the human body.
The 4 elements are:
Fire ( energy, drives, sexuality)
Water (spirituality, feelings, emotions)
Earth (all material things , mater = earth, the nature)
Air (the rational. logic, science)

The conceptional story:
All of a sudden a terrible explosion fulfils the room.
A deathly silence follows.
The Gods have to notice, this is the end, the system is dead, manhood just killed itself.
But the task of the Gods would have been, to lead men into the state of happiness, balance and fulfilment, which could not be achieved yet, because men have (the right of) their free will...
The reasons for that disaster leads to a hot discussion between the Gods. Everyone tries to define his element in it’s original version, and what men made out of it meanwhile.
The one, who is most affected is the God of fire (DC Cooper, Silent Force) whose energies were transferred to the God of Air (Andy Kuntz, Vanden Plas), mainly by the endeavour of the big world-religions, who tried to reduce life to thoughts an false spirituality, to control men’s drives and emotions.
The begin of the patriarchal system pushed the balance on the side of the male elements.
The female Gods complain about this. At first place the Goddess of earth (Laurie Williams) whose resources are poisoned and disgraced, because people turned away from nature and it’s laws.
The Goddess of Water (Sabine Edelsbacher, Edenbridge) who is the ruler (Lady, Mistress) of the spiritual world, reminds of a truth, which got lost (disappeared), still hidden, unknown in our souls. Life won’t grow the right way without that wisdom.

As we find ourselves in a futuristic fairytale, the Gods decide to ask the „spirit of ages" for the chance to get back in time before the Big Bang, which can be done, because of a new intergalactic time-tax-reform.

....And they call for Mercuria, the messenger (Isolde Groß).
Mercuria receives the order to transfer all information into the human brain, which are necessary to avoid the self-destruction of manhood.
This is a very difficult job, as the human brain only reacts on logic any more, and the knowledge, which is needed to understand the circumstances is much more than that, and can only be activated deep into humans subconscious.

The wise man (David Readman, Pink Cream ‘69) tells an old fairytale, which was told long time ago, and gave the old wisdom from one generation to the next.
Mercuria finds a solution. The ancient way of rebirth, the journey to Hades. The confrontation with one’s own fears and restrictions.
To realise those, is the condition for self-responsibility and the capacity (potency) to act. This is the only way to change the destructive system, that destroys the world, into a co-operative one, that works within global, natural rules.
To do the job, Mercuria has to leave her love, the Firegod. If she fails to save the humans, there also will be no Gods any more...
Their love and live can only survive (remain) if she succeeds.
With the help of the wise man, she leads us through all fears and dark visions, that prevent (keep) us from being ourselves.
That way we can recognise the reasons for our destructive behaviour against our own nature, and reach the state of freedom and peace in harmony with the universe.

The album was produced and engineered by Dennis Ward (Angra, Pink Cream 69, Vanden Plas, D.C. Cooper) at the House of Audio Studios in Karlsdorf, Germany and mixed by Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Silent Force, Sinner) at the House of Music Studios in Winterbach, Germany.
