Artica
As It Should Be

Artica are based in Hollywood, California one of the world’s hottest music hotbeds for this type of music in years gone by. If a rock band with big hair surfaced from this part of the world then we all knew that we were in for a treat. Yes, it was crunching guitars, stabbing keyboards and soaring harmonies, Artica were no exception, in fact they were leaders in their field. …

In 1995 Artica refused to let go of that early eighties sound, and the album “As it should be” was originally released in the mid-nineties period. A very brave thing to do when we were in the midst of grunge! However, they captured the hearts of many with their bombastic approach to melodic rock. This is one hell of an album if you are a fan of such bands as Tour De Force, Survivor, Van Halen and Journey. All those influences are here, rolled up into one big ball and played the “Artica” way. Strangely enough, Martins’ vocals are in fact not a million miles away from Steve Augeri himself.

So here we have the album “As it should be” once more, together with a bonus track and all wrapped up in a beautiful manner. If you missed this album first time around then be sure to grab it now, Artica have managed to grab that early eighties sound and have dragged it kicking and screaming into the Millennium. This is purely essential for any self-respecting melodic rock fan….music played “As it should be…”.

The album will be released fully re-mastered as limited edition digi-pack including the bonus track “System Of Justice”.
