The Band:
Ernie White - Lead Vocals & Guitars
Michael Ricciardella - Drums & Vocals
Richie Cerniglia – Guitars
Steve Vitale – Bass
Produced by Neil Kernon

Originally released in 1986 on the RCA label, the Aviator debut has been hailed as a classic by melodic rock fans all over the world and there has always been that buzz over the possibility of a CD release. Well here it is, on the ever expanding Escape label, with a couple of bonus tracks (Holding On & Woman in Love), just to make everyone twice as happy.

The band members have always had a strong pedigree as Ricciardella and Cerniglia were both in the “Wiggy Bits” line up in 1976 along with Peppy Castro, who later fronted Balance. Ricciardella and Cerniglia formed the band Network in 1977 and the two albums “Network” and “Nightwork” in 1977 and 1978 respectively are still highly regarded by collectors. However, it was not until 1986 that these two men hooked up with Ernie White and Steve Vitale to produce the self titled Aviator album, then they became of age... White’s vocals can only be described as awesome and the four dedicated guys just belt out one classic after another. The music is a beautiful mixture of Giant, Survivor and Nightranger, but with total originality. The aggressive guitar chords are backed up with super tight bass and drums and Ernie’s ability to sing his heart out is evident from the off. Yes, there are plenty of delicious keyboard moments, guest musicians Brian T. Leahy and Phil Ashly chip in at regular intervals. With production from the well respected Neil Kernon (Spys, FM, Michael Bolton, etc..), this one has been crying out for a CD release so that new fans can realise that this type of rock is simply the best and the older, more mature fans can re-live the experience all over again. The bonus tracks should prove popular to everyone!!
